OK, this product is made by BG, makers of 44k fuel injector cleaner
(great stuff). Synchro shift is not an additive, but a synthetic
transmission fluid. It's good stuff. We run it exclusively in all the
race car transmissions.
As with any synthetic fluid, one has to make sure that the fluid is not
too slippery such that the synchros don't sync up the input/output shaft
gears. This is the "crunch" one can hear when shifting.
Synthetic fluid is typically used to improve shifting in cold weather
scenarios. It may possibly improve shifting in warm weather, but YMMV...
