E-30 Struts/Springs

Hi Beemer Guys:

Well, my '88 325ic is leaning around turns a bit too much for my liking.
 It's got a new set of Pirelli p600's that hold the road well, but the body
leans.

Talk about choices - struts from Bilstein,Boge, Tokiko, Koni, KYB,to name a
few and springs by H&R and others.

I just want good handling, but not a rock hard ride, and I don't want to
spend a month's salary on them.  By the way, how do you know when you need
new springs??
