635 CSi Alpina Question

I'd like to hear from anyone via private (or public)
e-mail on how to verify the authenticity of a
1980 635CSi Alpina. It's got a lot of Alpina parts
on it (or so I'm told) but no plaque, Alpina VIN
#, etc. Any experience out there?
