You're quite right about hub-centric rings. In fact that's the first
question Shawn at Discount Tire asked me. They were on my invoice (N/C),
but not in the package. Upon closer scrutiny they had already been mounted
and were press-fit so cleanly you couldn't really tell they were there.
BTW, I've received several direct email messages asking about the
Hockenheim R + Yoko A509 combination. I can't tell a whole lot since I
haven't seen any track-time on them yet. But they feel good and solid over
rough roads and RR X-ings -- I think my unsprung weight increased a tad. I
might have the pressure (28/29 lb/sq") a little low because they feel just
a little softer and squeal more that my Pirelli p6's did. The walls are
certainly softer than P6's. They stick better though. They're great in the
wet. (I hope to never have them in the snow/ice since I have a set of
Pirelli Winter 190's for that.)
Of course I'm biased, but they LOOK outstanding, and I do receive
compliments. If anyone is curious about what they look like on an E30
