Rocco is correct .
I live in Buffalo NY and have run Perelli W210s on my 325is and before
that on my Corrado vr6 ( fwd but tooooo much torque). I like them because
they are a "high Performance" winter tire. We have a lot of lake effect
snow but also a lot of thaw--hense glare ice in addition to ice under a
layer of snow. I like them because they handle on icy, clear and deep
snow. Last Christmas I went out in a Blizzard in them and my car slowly
pulled through like a snow plough. I am a School Counselor and if the
city is open I go to work and have never been let down. I put them on
Now 1 and take them off April 1 . This is a long winter and I will
probably get my 3 rd winter out of them at least. I drive the car every
day and someimes quite entheusastically.
I didn't get the Blizzaks because I didn't like the idea that they would
suddenly become an all season tire. If I wanted an all season I would
have bought one. I want to keep my baby safe in the winter and wanted a
true snow tire that I wouldn't mind driving fast when we have our January
thaw. When I sold my Corrado , I gave my son my w210s . He drove them
NOv until July because he couldn't afford new tires and r1s for his
tricked out Jetta. They lasted and we were surprised how well the
handled.
