John,

I had to add a litter of oil between 6000 and 10000 km changes.(there was 
no consumption at 2000 nor between 2000 and 6000 km). The sevice manager 
assures me this is normal in the break-in period.
This week, at 10000km, I put in (BMW did) 5.5 liters - right to the top 
mark - of Castrol syntec 5-50. Now I am heading to the Westcoast, i.e. 
extended (1000+ km) highway driving and we'll see. I am taking a 1 liter 
jug of 5-50 along though!
