Here's an example of what makes BMWs special.  I was visiting my brother
(who has several very average pieces of Merkin iron), and we were out 
for an errand in my BMW.  As we approached a certain railroad crossing 
near his house, he warned me to slow down for it.  I eyeballed the 
crossing, then slowed to 40 MPH.  Obviously uncomfortable, he urged, 
"SLOWER!" just as we tracked smoothly over the crossing.  He said, 
"Hmmmmmm; If I take that crossing faster than 20, my car will bottom 
out."
