You sent me scrambling on this one. All my films, even the euro E24, show
the part but make no reference to it or say "not applicable". I knew I had
some so I went through the box diving routine. The part is 52-10-1-927-000
for one each plaque with logo stripe. Retail $7.56 each. They come with
wicked copper "staples" to attach through the seat, and like most M badges,
will fit any car. (Sorry to say)

Only on the 6 o'clock spoke, and hang onto it, you can't get it and it
comes off easily, sort of a lead-like material.

You must be talking about the old upper fresh air outlet. That flat spot
used to be a control wheel for opening the vent, but was deleted about '84
or so and they just kept the original piece and deleted the vent. Those
"rivets" are just the on/off indicators.

BTW. Someone just dropped a '73 2002tii on my doorstep he wants to sell.
113K, Ceylon Metallic, Black Skai, Sunroof, Behr A/C, Korman Stage II 160hp
motor, 320i alloys, none of the usual rust, none. He said it was the
nicest one I would have ever seen, but he doesn't know me. It's pretty
nice, though he wants a ton for it. If you've got to have a '73 tii I'll
put you in touch.
