Paint quality

  I'm also not happy with the paint durability. I was surprised to find 
  four paint chips, about 2 mm diameter, on the front fenders, after only 
  7000 miles on excellent roads.  However many coats of paint are used, 
  they're all gone, and the grey primer is visible.  This paint is 
  Alpinweiss III (despite my affectionate nickname in my signature), 9/95 
  production, car built in Germany.
