Re: Bolt dropped into engine... the answer.



First of all, my sincere condolences.

I was thinking what I'd do if this happened to me.  The problem is
that you can't see what you are looking for.  My answer would be to
use a chip camera similar to what they use in surgery at the hospital
where I work (laparoscopy, bronchoscopy, etc.).  Of course, they'd
never let me use one from the OR, so I'd check with the supplier
to see what other clients they have...
 
I checked with one of the Docs here, and he suggested that Olympus
supplies these scopes to other companies (including garages) for uses
similar to what you need (They also have graspers that work along
with the cameras). Make a few calls - I'm sure you'll find one
somewhere...
