Chip Upgrade for E32

Just recently discovered this digest, and thought I would draw on some of
the valuable knowledge available from the group.  After checking the FAQ on
Chip upgrades I found myself with additional question.  My apologies if this
subject has been covered recently.

        1. Is there a performance chip available for a 1989 735ia?

        2. If so, how do I contact manufacturers?

        3. Are the claims of 15-20 additional HP realistic?

        4. What are the negatives of upgrading; milage, drivability, engine
wear etc?

        5. Is installation possible for a realativly inexperienced DIY'er?
