Cool Carbons on an NSX....Not the pads fault.



To the joker who is slamming Cool Carbons (Some of us like to call them 
Cool Willy's because we get them from Will Turner and he blesses each 
pad to rid them of any fade during break-in),  this guy obviously 
doesn't know what he's talking about.  The real problem is in one of 
two areas.  The first is that the "Honda" NSX does not have sufficent 
size brakes for a car of this speed/handling potential and they don't 
have any brake cooling which is essential for carbon pads.  All of the 
Auto magazines have said this about the car at one time or another.  
The second possibility is that this gentleman just doesn't know what 
he's doing.  Anyone who rides the brake for a long period of time on 
the racetrack will develop a brake problem.  The trick to making your 
brakes last the longest and stay the coolest is to brake hard for a 
short period of time, not brake easily for an extended period of time.  
My own experience with the pads has been tremendous.  We did a 24hr. 
SCCA race with an E30 M3 with stock brakes and Cool Willy's and still 
had 1/3 pad material at the front and 1/2 material on the rear at the 
end of the race (and we were pushing the car).  We previously ran a 
2002tii with DS11 Ferodos and had to change pads once around the 16th 
hour.
I have experimented with Pagid, Metal Master (the worst), Ferodo, 
Performance Friction, and Cool Carbons and the Cool Carbons are by far 
the best.  Quit slamming them , you're just making yourself look 
stupid.
