I second Dan's suggestion. When mine went bad my independent mechanic steered 
me to an electrical auto shop that sold me the bearings. BMW doesn't show 
them in their parts but Mercedes does so you can try an MB dealer. The bearings 
pop right out and the rest of the assy. is probably still good. Its a good DIY 
project.
