Fred,
10:1 the threads inside the arm itself are stripped. The arm is purposely 
made out of softer metal so that when the nut holding it to the motor 
loosens up, the cheaper part gives first.
The only long term solution is a new arm. You can try cleaning the treads 
and re-tightening the arm back on the motor shaft, but sooner or later you 
will be shopping for a new arm. Luckily it's not too expensive (forgot 
exactly how much, but < $50 IIRC).
I would not glue it on in case you ever need to take it off to fix 
something.
