[bmw] 535i Power Window Question

All of a sudden, the driver window on my 1990 BMW 535i
only goes down half-way and stops dead.  I took off
the door panel and looked in, and there doesn't appear
to be anything blocking the action.  Could the motor
be dying, and this is a symptom?  Near the top of the
action, the motor works fine...
