A general hint if originality isn't an issue.

It's sometimes handy to add a strategically positioned 'pig tail' curl in the
pipe to allow you a little adjustment/flex/fudge in the pipe length and
routing.  This way if the pipe is slightly too long or short you can make it
fit without undue stress (on you and the tube) and saves the pipe from the
bin.
