[alfa] Re: 164 Motor into a Milano

I fitted my 3.0lt 164motor to an alfetta sedan. The 164 flywheel has to be
different to the milano because the g/box bolts to the engine. I have a 2.5lt
V6 flywheel bolted onto my 3.0lt 164 engine which is then connected to the V6
prop shaft. Works ok so far but I am going to replace the propshaft with one
using uni joints instead of donuts, however this is a race car.

  Hi Dean:

Did you actually put a 164 motor into a 75 (Milano)? This is what I'm trying
to accomplish here, and just want to be aware of any potential snags before I
get too far into this.

I keep reading conflicting reports about whether my 2.5 MIlano flywheel is
significantly different that the 3.0 Milano one. I know that diameter and bolt
pattern are the same, but offset and weight seem to be the only issues I
cannot get straight answers for.

Do you have any more information? Are there many 3.0 L Milano flywheels in
the scrapyards down under?

  Regards,

  Dennis
