[alfa] power window woes

Does the motor run and stop like it's supposed to, but the window just
doesn't move? I discovered the hard way--same as you're doing--that the
cable has to be pinched tight in the two bolt/rounded bracket assemblies
that the cable runs through on either side of the window bottom. If one or
both of the bolts are loose, the cable will slip or come out of the bracket,
and thus not be able to lift the window. The motor will wind up the cable,
but not the window. Getting it hooked back up is easy, it just takes
adjustment.  I hope that's your problem!
