RE: [alfa] Buzz in 1750 at ~ 2300 rpm

Hi All

I wonder if we have understood the posting? A buzz is different from the
timing chain rattle that is mot easily provoked by blipping the throttle. I
have had a buzz due to 1. too tight timing chain - a time when I had to remove
the spring and shim the tensioner because of a stripped thread for the lock
bolt and 2. fanbelt too tight. There is a third category of causes which is
too obvious to mention perhaps - something contacting one of the pulleys
(usually the alternator one) or the fan touching the shroud.

Yes I'm still around. If you watched the TV coverage on Sunday (Kiwi Alfisiti)
you would have seen me at least twice and the race car in 3 different segments
- leading the NZ Grand Prix after a back of the grid start and then getting
taken out by Charlie Kimball (black flagged) of the USA, challenging for 2nd
at Ruapuna etc. Incidentally we set fastest time at Pukekohe weekend before
last. Leading the Pre '93 championship, yea! and faster than all the latest
machinery yea! yea!
Thanks to whoever wrote the piece in Alfa News about us and son/driver
Jayant... very nice.

Ciao tutti.
