RE: [alfa] Spider Tail Light Removal
Brian -
Lift up the carpet/rubber trim on the rear panel inside the trunk. There
should be four knurled knobs sticking out of the sheet metal at each corner
of the center lens of the three.
Remove these and the middle lens should come off, you can then remove the
two outer ones if need be. (the outers are retained by the middle lens)
If you have trouble removing the lens, it is because it has fused itself to
the gasket between the lens and the taillight housing. Put the knurled knobs
back on to the lens loosely, and gently push them STRAIGHT towards the rear
of the car working each one a little at a time. This should push the lens
off. Any sideways force will break the stud out of the plastic lens.
Go slow, and you can work it off.
HTH,
Jeff

Subject: [alfa] Spider Tail Light Removal
Hi - I have a 1977 Spider - I am embarassed to ask, but what is the trick to
removing the tail lights (in order to change a bulb)? I have no manual yet,
and
I don't see any screws or the like inside or out. Thanks for the help.
