Peter is right, these are the instructions that come with the product, I've
also never had any problems cleaning an engine this way.

As Peter says, avoid spraying anything directly on any sensors or
electronics, and I'd also avoid spraying directly on the headers, which can
be a bit hotter than the engine.

After all the cleaning, I usually run the motor a but to help dry everything
off..
