On the advice of Ethan Schartman (who has driven my Verde) concerning my
broken spherical pivot. I took the extra step of removing the front
clutch housing so that I could lube the input shaft. The clutch is now
dramaticly easier to operate. I really didn't think it was that heavy
before, but I guess it was. It was probably a major contributing factor
to the demise of the pin too.
While I was under there, I replaced the transmission mounts. The
driver's side mount had separated (what is the lifespan of this part?).
I also installed a polyurethane dedion bush. Everything but the bush
was a fight. It was just one of those days in the garage. Actually
the exhaust was surprisingly easy. Stainless steel band clamps are the
way to go.
