[alfa] Re 147 Killer from Autodelta
All these stupid comments re FWD and 280kph being scary are based on
ignorance. It doesn`t matter a toss which end or if all four corners are
driven regarding a cars "feel" and stability. It has to do with aerodynamics,
steering and suspension design. Generally for the average driver FWD nowadays
"feels" more stable anyway with most drivers feeling more comfortable with
understeering characteristics than to them the slightly nervous feel of a bias
towards oversteer as is more common with the RWD. Even the few RWD cars
available tend to be tuned to the preferred understeering trait. I`ve owned or
have driven most of the so-called desirable cars and I still can`t say yes FWD
is crap or RWD is the "only way". Nor all wheel drive for that matter. I`ve
driven rear engined, mid engined, front engined and transaxle cars with
16hp-700hp and it still depends on how the package is put together-suspension
design, steering and aerodynamics.
That`s my 2c worth.
