[alfa] Mazda RX8 B Post issues

From the pictures I've seen the B post is in the rear door and interlocks 
with the roof rail and the sill rail with sturdy looking latches. 
Technically, there is no reason why this system should be inferior to a 
welded B pillar. Contrast this with some of the older 2 door coupes with 
the B pillar so far back in the bodyshell as to be practically useless in 
a  side impact.

The Mazda RX8 looks to have a very rigid and strong unibody more than up to 
the task of collision absorption.
