[alfa] Steam vs Spica

Steam is wonderful for single speed operation, like powering a generator. It may also make a good motive motor when there is adequate engineering and maintenance. 

Unfortunately a poorly maintained steam unit can explode. (Steam pressure, not combustion, though firebox explosions are common as well) Witness the carnage at a recent antique fair in PA USA a couple of years ago. Also, the damage caused by a pressure vessel damaged in a vechicle accident could be serious.

Leave steam for stationary power.

The again, there are more knowledgable steam mechanics out there than SPICA mechanics. Obligatory Alfa content.
