If you have the "sport" seats, which has high bolsters on the sides (both
back and bottom) and a longer seat bottom, then the foam you have won't
work.   The standard seats look the same for 67-88, at least to my naked
eye.  The sport seats in my '86 Veloce are very different as described.

My guess is you have foam for the standard seats and "sport" seats in your
car.
