[alfa] 105 gearbox.

I don't have the exact date. I used to have a spare parts book, that is now
lost, that showed the part numbers for the bell housing and the selector
rods changed around '73. You can tell if you have an early or late one by
inspecting the bell housing. The later ones have a tapped hole for the
reverse switch, but the earlier ones have a rectangular hole that exposes
the ends of the selector rods. The reverse switch is mounted on a bracket. I
think that shift rods extend further from the front of the gearbox casing on
the earlier ones.
Hope this helps and that my memory is having one of its better days.

>Can anyone be more specific as to when the gearboxes changed? I only have
parts books until the 1750 at the moment, so can't check this myself.
Alternatively, what were the gearbox numbers before and after the change?
The GTV I'm restoring is a '73 2000, so if the change was around '73, I
imagine I'm going to have to check which I have.
