[alfa] Kerosene for Flushing

Back in the olden' days (late '40s early '50s) the filling station I worked at
used kerosene to clean out engines (anyone remember 'filling stations'?) .
This was about the time that detergent oil was being introduced  The cars were
never driven on the street - just idled in the garage.  Worked great then but
I reckon that that is what detergent oils are for now.
