There are two drains on either side of the valence just ahead of the 
windscreen. This is where the windshield wiper motor and heater air intake 
is. These two drains run into hoses that drain down through the front 
fenders and onto the ground. In cars that have been poorly cared for, the 
drains block up. Water collects and finally rises to the point where the 
passenger side vents and heater air intakes are. Then, when accelerating 
hard one day, the water sloshes back and through the vent system and all 
over the driver and/or passenger. It's also likely the the drain hoses have 
deteriorated and broken altogether, thus draining into the pax compartment 
or all over the inner fender rusting it out. To clean out the system you 
must take the windshield trim off, remove the wipers, and finally the air 
intake grill at the base of the windshield.
