[alfa] Steel wheels

I just dropped off some original steel wheels from a 1969 Berlina to be
sandblasted and repainted.

Interestingly, the color of the paint under the center cap and on the area
inside the tire appear to be painted an aluminum silver, while the exposed
area appears to be a plain gray a shade or two darker than primer. The
painter explained it as fading, but I think the difference to be too great
to be fading.

My question is, "which is the correct color?"

I cannot imagine that Alfa would have painted them two different colors.

The question may be a little late, since I already told the painter to match
the color on the inside, but would be interested to hear what others have
done.
