So I emailed the seller again about the car asking why when the VIN was run it comes up as a Spider. Here was his response:

"Let me tell you why.
I told you that this car is from Europe and it dosen't have a VIn nr. right now.
And that's why I have to use another vin from another car.
The price is 16000 us $.
Tell me if you agree?
Regards!!!"

Uh, yeah...$16,000 US for a 147 GTA. This just gets better and better...
