Curtiss,

Sorry about your misfortune.  Is the tranny actually in the car - and what
are the symptoms.  Do gears crunch, etc.  Check the speed engagement control
rod (the one connecting the shit lever to the transmission linkage) to make
sure it is tight and attached with two bolts.  Check the workings under the
speed selection cover ( the the black plastic cover on top of the
transmission).  If something is loose or the selector shaft is not engaged
or seated properly with the selector rod, this would make shifting difficult
or impossible.  Just some suggestions in hopes that the tranny is not as
badly damaged as you suspect.
