I have been told (on another list) that as DOT 5 fluid, being
non-hygroscopic, does not absorb water vapour.  This is good as regards not
altering the boiling point and therefore not causing SPS (spongy pedal
syndrome)

BUT, any water vapour that does get into the system, is not absorbed and
therefore condenses as water droplets.  These coalesce and collect within
parts of the system where the prescence of water can cause rusting.

 I am not sure of the logic here.. how does water moisture get into what is
essentially a closed system?/  Anyway, that was the tale.  Make of it what
you will.
