Re: [alfa] Quarts, pints, litres etc



In the UK people still commonly refer to topping up with a pint of oil,
despite the fact that it has for some while been sold in 500 ml and 1 litre
containers.

I still prefer to use an absolute measure (pint, gallon, litre) rather than
be determined by package sizes chosen by the marketing department of some
multi-national!

Whist we are on USA / UK / European  conventions and terminology.  Why the
term lug-nut? what is the origin of this one when you mean wheel nuts. (or
the nuts that hold on a wheel)
