[alfa] Shifting and 2nd gear synchro

hm.. perhaps

US road, street, etc, were designed to make you stop
and go since defining the city, so we are often going
1-2-3 shifts, while alfa/porsche and other euro cars 
are spending their time in 3-4-5 full throattle 
zipping thru traffic and hangging on the edge of 
the cliff...

The road that these car travel here in US put more load 
on lower gear synchros vs same car in average euro roads?

Nowadays, new alfa gearbox (ie 164) have strong synchros
too. You don't hear 145/146/156/147 having weak 2nd :)
