there is a real lot of energy stored in those springs.  its a pretty scary 
deal, even with the factory tool.  w/ aftermarket springs, its even 
worse.  do the job on a lift if you can. otherwise, do whatever you can to 
get the front of the car as far up in the air as you can.  those springs 
get pretty long when they are unloaded.
