Re: - Spider resto (Rotisserie)

Thanks to all for the insightful replies.

In my mind I have a picture of the car bolted to two parallel full length
beams, attached to the engine mounts or front suspension pickups for the
front, and at the rear shock mounts or suspension pickups at the rear.
Importantly I also want to have a third central attachment point to prevent
the "bend" in the middle which everyone seems concerned about.

If a completely stripped spider body (no fittings or suspension) doesn't
bend when sitting upright supported on stands at both ends, I don't see why
it would bend when placed upside-down ? Further, I imagine that the
structure would be inherently strong enough laterally, so working with the
body on its side would be less of an issue.

I guess I'll give it a try and let you know if the doors fit afterwards !!
