Re: Milano speedo error
Replacing the speedometer won't help . . . the 2.5 and 3.0 units are the
same mechanically. They use the same pickup, pulse converter and
speedometer mechanism. Only the scale on the faces are different. The
Verde reads up to 160 and the 2.5 cars up to 140 (I think, but can't
remember for sure). The only way I know to correct your problem is to build
a frequency converter that would reduce the frequency of the sending unit in
proportion to the difference in final drive ratios. You could also have the
face repainted, but the odometer would still be off.
