164 brake warning light

The "brake" and the "two lights" light show up when I press the brake
pedal. This would indicate a grounded brake sensor wire somewhere, but
I can find none.

I've checked all bulbs (and used deoxit)--checked fluid level and
operation of fluid sensor, and, finally, shorted the two wires that
usually go to each of the front brake pads to each other. The lights
still light--

all suggestions gratefully accepted!!!!!!!!!
