Regarding your article on the decline of old Alfas.

What about the Porsche 928 ?  Very expensive car when new yet now
being listed on Ebay for $3K.  What about old Chevy Novas ?  $2K
when new yet now going for $4K & up. 

I don't think the value & popularity of a car is related to its original new
price and how rich the original owners were.  It's related to how many 
people like the car and think it's worth putting money into.  I like my Milano 
& GTVs and I'll put $5K into the Milano even if it's only "worth"  $2K.
