I'm really enjoying the 195/60HR14 Falken Azenis on my '74 Spider (mounted 
on 14 X 6 Cromodora Daytona's).  So much so that I'm about to buy another 
set for my '87 Spider with the Campagnolo Star's.  I paid $260 for the set 
(mounted and balanced) at a local retailer, but they're also available at

The 195/60HR14 is a bit larger in diameter than your 185/65, and a bit 
smaller than the original 185/70, but slightly wider than both.  Here's a 
good tire size calculator that will illustrate the differences for you, 
both in diameter and width:

Don't worry about speedometer error, even if your speedometer works, which 
I'll bet it doesn't.  I can't tell you how long they'll last, as I only 
drive each Spider several 1,000 miles per year, but they're rated 200 A A, 
which is reasonable for a street tire on such a light car.
