Autodelta US, and what V6 motors are available in Europe
In reply to the message below:
147 & 156GTA both have 3.3V6
156 had 2.5V6 also, until recent facelift just announced
166 model has 2.5V6 and 3.0V6 model, latter is 226bhp, rather than the
220bhp of the 164LS, or the 240bhp of the 164Q)
GTV (224bhp - exhaust differences compared to 166 I'm told) & Spider
also have 3.0V6 (but Spider not in RHD).
Rumour - 166 facelift cancelled - was to get 3.2V6.
All V6s are now 24 valve.
Hope this clarifies what's available.
Regards
David.
'98 166 Super 3.0 V6 with Autodelta UK (no relation to US company)
Sports Exhaust & JR Air Filter - probably 226+bhp!

Subject: Re: The end of Autodelta?
As for emissions compliance -- I think one of the things to be declared
is that the engine is basically the same as one previously sold in the
US, thus the cars were only available with the 3.0 litre engine since
the AR 3 was in the 164 until 94/95. Of course, that's now 8 years ago,
and engine management changes or other changes might mean a more recent
3.0 is not the same motor "legally" speaking. Plus, I know AR has been
selling a 3.2 recenty, and smaller sized v6, but I don't recall hearing
about the 3.0. Is the 3.0 still in production models? Since all cars now
are supposed to have ODBC II, does that include "small manufacturers"?
Would these cars have to be ODBC II compliant? If so, that's probably
one thing they'll get nailed for.
