As an ITALIAN, living in ITALY, being born in ITALY, I am pretty much enjoying
this thread. It's really funny seeing some typical italian fact being described
by you guys, it's also interesting realizing what you get out of visiting my country.
I am really having fun.

Notwithstanding, you guys MUST remember this is an international mailing list.
There are a lot of american guys, but also a lot of people from the rest of
the world: Canada, South america, Africa, Europe, Asia. You know?

Well, said this, I'd ask Mr. Andrew Schwartz, author of the above quoted text
to apologize for what he wrote.
You konw, I am pretty much open minded, or at least I define myself that way;
I can agree about the leaders thing (even if you guys got your troubles as well,
or better, thanks to your international politic WE ALL got a trouble).
I can agree about the efficient administration thing.
I can ignore the war topic, since I don't see fighting war as a good thing to
learn (...but I would like you to remember that coupla thounsands years ago we dominated
the known world...) :-)

BUT....

if you, Mr. Schwartz, got something against italian software writer, well, I ask you to
bring in some evidence right here. I am a known and long time experienced analyst, computer
programmer & project manager. I successfully worked writing business software, and
right now, for some years so long, I am working about robotics & industrial automation,
as lons as building automation.

Don't forget that "the bad side of Berlusconi", that we all saw coupla days ago,
displayed using the ability to speak (or write, in your case) the wrong words in the
wrong environment. You did the same, forgetting you're directly offending somebody.

So, if you know that all italian software writers do SUCK, and you got some evidence
about ME TOO, please let me know and eventually discuss it off digest.
Otherwise, I expect you to apologize. That will not change your opinion, but will
turn things to a diplomatic level.
You & Berlusconi, apparently, forgot it. Don't you think so? ;-)

Luca
PS: I myself apologize with the rest of the digest members for the rant.
