Water pump choice

I'm rebuiding a 2000 engine for use in a 1967 GTV and I'll be using carbs
instead of Spica. 

I don't have access to the 2000 manuals, so am not sure why the 2000 water pump
has 3 outlets instead of the 1600's 2 outlets. I'm guessing it's for a coolant
feed to the Spica pump, which I don't need - so I think I should buy a new
2-outlet pump? could someone please confirm or deny. Thanks.
