2.5L to 2.8L v-6 conversion

This is generally considered an out of date topic because the 3.0L is
readily available and considered superior, but I was interested in
converting a spare 2.5L V-6 engine into a 2.8L with 164S pistons.  Does
anybody have first hand experience with the conversion and its operating
characteristics?  Any suggestions?  Know where I can find the specs for the
cylinder bores in the block of a 3.0L to machine the 2.5L block to?  How
hard is it to remove the head studs?  I can't seem to find any information
on the internet.  There is some info on the Gleich 2.8L but I can't read the
pages due to language barriers.  Any help is appreciated.
