Spider Idle/Low RPM (help please!)

Hello all digester types,

I finally have my engine reassembled after head gasket surgery and I'm quite
proud of myself...running with no leaks or metal-to-metal crunching sounds,
explosions, etc.

However its running a little ragged at start, idle, etc.  Sounds really nice
otherwise....only had it up to about 4000 rpm so far, driving around
checking for leaks, problems, etc.  Any common adjustments to make/check?
Its a 91 Motronic Spider.
