Pistons and Compression Ratios

Stefano asked about relationship between compression ratios and head height.

For what it's worth, I've put together the following numbers.  They're calculated rather than measured, so more an adequate indication than an accurate measurement.  The only genuinely accurate method is by doing it and then measuring.  

Stock 9.0:1 pistons:
amount shaved (mm)	new CR 
0.25			9.2:1
0.50			9.5:1
0.75			9.7:1
1.00			10.0:1

Motronic 10.0:1 pistons:
amount shaved (mm)	new CR
0.25			10.3:1
0.50			10.6:1
0.75			10.9:1
1.00			11.3:1

Borgo 10.4:1 pistons:
amount shaved (mm)	new CR
0.25			10.7:1
0.50			11.0:1
0.75			11.4:1
1.00			11.8:1
