2 litre flywheels

Thanks for the tip Warren,

But from all the info I've received, I don't think that I would want
to put in any cast iron, especially shaved cast iron, that isn't Alfa Romeo.

They say that there can be flaws in the castings which could weaken
and possibly explode during high reving, so I am still making up my mind.
But it's coming down to either a used flywheel of which there seem to
be many available or a light steel flywheel. From the feedback that
I'm getting, an aluminum flywheel may be too light if you spend any
amount of time in city driving, and the way city driving is here in
Italy.....

Ciao!
Dan K.

Dan,

Given the current exchange rate between the US and Australian dollars, it
may even be worthwhile for you to contact Vin Sharp from PACE here in
Melbourne, Australia. Yesterday I mentioned to him that I also needed to
find a 2 litre flywheel for the Twin Spark engine that I'm going to install
in my 1750 GTV.

Vin has had cast Iron flywheel blanks made up and can machine them up to
whatever spec you want. He quoted me $400 Australian (about US$260) but this
also included having the TS ring gear placed on the new flywheel.

If you're interested I can give you his contact details.
