Re: Spider f/s Potomac, Maryland

Jonathan,

I checked out two Porsche's for friends that were at this dealer. One car
checked out the other seemed a litttle threadbare overall. I met the head
guy and smoozed a little. Overall impression is that I would not buy a car
from them at their markup. There was also an intangible "sleeze" factor but
that is a personal impression. Cherner is probably the "hobby" of the
Cherner Lincoln Mercury dealership family. This place is located in a very
toney part of the county and I think they throw in a few points on the
markup to keep up appearances. They just opened a new dealership in
Annapolis, MD. My opinion. On the otherhand if the car checks out and they
come down to your comfort level price wise, it might be an OK deal. Thye
offer a 30 day powertrain warranty.

Don

BTW, my friend bought her Boxter at CARMAX.
