Re: Spica belt replacement interval

I replaced the FI belt on my Spica car about 15 years ago, but due to its
location until recently, only about 2000 miles have been added since then.
Do these belts dry rot even with low mileage--should I replace it now?  I
bought a new belt about 10 years ago with that in mind, but alas, it's been
sitting in a drawer ever since, and now I don't know whether I should try
to get a fresher one from a vendor. I would appreciate any advice.  Thanks!
